Since it's the day before turkey day, that did not leave me too much free time to get much in the way of photos. So here is today's photo. Yeah, a definite desperation photo but at least it's not an opportunistic feline photo. :)

This is what is left over of the turkey from our Thanksgiving Day dinner. BTW, according everyone, this was one of my better turkeys.

I hope everyone else who celebrated Thanksgiving today did not overeat too much.

LOL our turkey this year was 24lbs (biggest I've ever cooked) so we had a couple dinners and then the rest we portioned out and threw it in the freezer. Works great for lunches and quick dinners. Our Thanksgiving was a month ago and we still have some in the freezer. I love turkey and cranberry sandwiches with some crisp romaine mmmm Hope you are enjoying a lovely relaxing holiday weekend. I'm sure your four legged friends would happily make that turkey disappear quickly LOL

I heard some weird rustling noises on the porch this norming. When I looked out, I saw our neighborhood red squirrel (who I refer to as Scrat) flying off the porch and across the snow-covered yard. A while later, I went out and saw these tracks in the snow. The first set of tracks I saw almost looked like the footprints of some alien life form. In reality, one set is going towards our porch, and the other set was the return trip.

Alien Proof? Not Quite

Here is another set from the same little critter. I like this one because you can actually see decent footprints.

Over the kitchen table, we have a lamp that I use mainly as a night light. It had one of those yellow "party" incandescent bulbs for what seemed like years, that is until it burned out last week. I decided to change the color and went with one of those blue LED replacement bulbs. Yes, it is a very, verity blue light, rather cool, actually. I was curious how things would photograph under this light. As it turns out, almost everything, no matter what its actual color, turns out to be some shade of blue, except for a few objects: pink and yellow highlighters turn out to remain pretty close to true, and the orange caps of the Tide to Go sticks turned out dark red. The tablecloth is actually a gold color, the tape dispenser is purple. It was just interesting to see how the camera would pick up what colors. Oh, the pinkish color coming through from under the curtain is really the light from the outside door light: one of those "warm white" compact fluorescent lights.

The only post processing I did, other than crop the image a little, was increase the brightness somewhat and change the exposure because it definitely came out rather dark.

I finally finished these socks. I had gotten busy doing some other things, so these socks got pushed to the wayside. I finally finished them this morning. Just what I need, more socks. :)

When a took a few mallomars out of the box to eat them, I thought about how to make them into an interesting arrangement. This is what I came up with...

Oh! No!
