On my way home, I spotted this gaggle trying to cross the road. They were crossing in waves of 4 and 5 geese at a time.

​It was interesting to watch the geese. They looked both ways before they crossed the road. Very smart geese.

My forsythia still continues to baffle me as to why it blooms in the fall. It has done this every year. It is not something new. I can't blame global climate change for this.

I know it's finally fall when I start baking again. One of my favorites is fruit crisps: pear, apple, or peach. YUM!

The sun has been playing hide and seek with the clouds all day. I was able to get this photo when it popped back out a little while ago. The way the leaves look with the back/side lit sun made me think of stained glass.
