I love how I have so many similar shots (except the hammock - I didn't even see the hammock), but they're so different.

I plodded through the IR stuff today as it took me a while to find a groove that worked for all of them - or at least most of them. Some are obviously better than others, but I like the way they represent the age of the place - something I was acutely aware of growing up.

I've stuck them all in a Flickr set called "Princeton Univ-IR-sity" (punny, no?), but here are a couple more, including the 9/11 Memorial.

Some from the Princeton walk:

John, it's funny, but I shot a bunch of frames of these guys walking away, hoping to get a shot with at least a couple of them jumping in the air at the same time. Didn't come up with squat. I blame the nerdy kids who have no rhythm!! LOL

I really like the B&W treatment on your shot.

Here's my throw-away, You Can Lead A Physics Major To Pep Band, But You Can't Make 'em Dance

Love the IR shots Jake!!! I had the GPS on my D300. It recorded the location of the hammock as 40°20'49" N 74°39'15" W or along Washington Road.

John captured the glee club in B&W. I loved the drama of the color of their attire:

Dang - You've exposed me for the color manipulator that I am!! LOL Funny how we caught most of the same kids.

Ah - I didn't do the walk down Washington Road. That's when I got stuck doing long exposures at the fountain (all with the wrong lens choice) waiting for a guy to finish taking "model shots" of his girlfriend. I didn't mind waiting and watching, though I suspect he'll wish he'd treated me like that wedding photographer did when he sees me in the background of all of them. LOL

haha, thanks. That was actually the only shot I took of them walking away. They were a far cry from the band I was in during college!

Some very nice shots so far, looking forward to this thread. I ended up canceling my slot for Saturday due to scheduling issues at home :(

I did some digging and they represent the signs of the Zodiac. It's called the "Circle of Animals" (though not presented that way here) by world renowned Chinese sculptor Ai Weiwei

Ai Weiwei - Circle of Animals / Zodiac Heads

Had I known I might have paid more attention. Funny, because I am a documentary buff and just put one about him in my Netflix queue about a month ago called "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry". It's available to stream. Might need to watch it today.

On another note, I heard back from our walk leader and it turns out she had the exact same issue with her metadata timestamp (didn't reset it for DST). She said she doesn't think that it'll be an issue. If nothing else, I told her I'd vouch for her photos if she vouched for mine. LOL

Did some digging on the Photowalk Site and also on Flickr and it seems that there isn't a single Group for everyone (though one is mentioned specifically here but without a working link), though groups seem to be popping up for many towns (I went to Search Groups under communities and put in "photowalk 2013"). Hopefully Chris will set something up today. (Hopefully I'll get HDR Efex Pro working today!! LOL)

It does seem that people are using the WWPW13 and/or WWPW2013 hashtags to tag their photos.

If anyone here has their group walk on Flickr please post a link!!

I definitely prefer your perspective of this over my own! Nice job!!! :)

Thanks! It helps that I had my 10-24mm with me :)

I actually played around with that shot a little more and I made it darker along with this shot:

Thanks for finding that info Jake!

This is way too funny. . . I'm waiting for a conference call this morning and was playing around with a similar shot! I shot this with my Sigma 10-20.

wow, I like that framing a lot better. I'm surprised you got it before everyone swarmed in there.

Terrific shots, John and Eduard! :D My widest was only 24mm this time. And jdeg, I agree everyone swarmed in there! Some people didn't care if they stood in front of someone who was about to take a shot. And then there were a few who were eyeballing what others were taking--you could see them craning their necks trying to see the perspective from the photographers point of view. lol!

By the way, there were a couple of Nikonians there, but I believe we Nikonites outnumbered any other group!
