Playing with my Ringneck Parrot Kiwi and OCF

First one shot with a Lensbaby Single glass optic the second shot with a 12mm Lensbaby Fisheye HSS - 1/4000 (I think I had the F4 aperture ringy thingy in)

This little pup does not seem at all affected by my flashes. Shot with off camera flash - one in my new "Strobies Dome" for ambient fill and a speedlight in a 7" reflector with a grid - mounted high pointing down.

I shot a lot of pics trying to capture this wired pup in full tilt run. This puppy goes like a bat out of hades.

I was using my 200-500 (because initially I went to shoot birds but that turned into a dog run ... don't ask).

Next time I think I'll try my 70-200, open up the aperture a bit (4 or 5.6, maybe even 8) to give me more DOF to increase the odds of the dog being in focus. I also need to learn to pan ahead of the dog. Most (as in maybe two thirds) were of the dogs hind end, missed the head, Lots of fun trying to follow a tiny pup running full tilt.
