Leo caught his tail under the door, hence the bandage

It is extremely difficult to keep the bandage, as he pulls it off in a couple of hours.

Hope Leo is better real soon aroy.

Thank you for the concern. Yes he is getting better every day. As you have noticed, he keeps biting the bandage at the tip, in fact he has become an expert at getting rid of it within half an hour of our putting it, so now we are just letting it heal on its own.

Nice, the contrast works well.

That's the great thing about B&W, you only need to worry about the contrast and I can paint that in almost anywhere I like. The more detail or texture, the more you can play with it. Too bad this shot was less than perfect; I did an attempt to obscure the fact the lens should have been closed down some more. Sadly I lacked the light to do that.

When doing macro, the shooting is fun but the processing is a bit of a chore. In B&W it's almost the opposite; the shots themselves are less exciting but the processing is a real joy. You can turn what looked in color like a dull shot into a rather powerful B&W simply because it contains the right elements to do so.

Was ready to roll out to the rural areas yesterday with my 14-24 for some fall colors when my schedule got crazy. Had to settle for a few pics by the pool. Here's a shot (crop) of Skittles the mutt. Who says the 14-24 isn't a portrait lens?
