Not my pet or anything, but a friendly cat that lives at a bookstore in West Chester, PA. She walks up and greets anybody that arrives and she loves posing for photos with squinted eyes for some reason.

Real nice shot of Herbie. Have you thought of photoshopping his medallion out?

Thank you Marcel for the kind words... and a bigger thank you for the suggestion.. I had not thought of that... (I am so used to seeing it..) I went and removed it in LR5 and it was a real improvement! (See Below)

Appreciate the suggestion!!!

I posted the first shot in the critique area but this may be a better venue. I love shooting my dogs! All my dogs are working dogs in Search and Rescue, AKC Hunt Tests, or both.

Here are Flash, Fargo, and Spirit posing for a portrait after a hunt test.

Here are some shots of the dogs enjoying our pool in the late afternoon sun.

Mako shaking it out.

Spirit catching air. Need to upgrade from my D50 to shoot fast enough to get her all in tghe picture. She leaps even if she just thinks I will throw a bumper. We call her "Loca" because she is crazy.

They are VERY good dog shots - I can see that you love 'em a lot....
thanks

Our dirty dirty dog, Aldo...

Those are not D600 dust spots all over his face, it's real dirt that he gets all over himself every day, right before he comes back in the house.

Our kitty cat "nelly" - she's 19 years old... lost an ear to cancer but still going strong...
she found this flower pot (waiting to be planted with new flowers) and thought "that looks like a good bed" and jumped right in much to my wifes annoyance... and mine later when she strolled into the house with little particles of dirt clinging to her coat.

I am new here and have just updated my camera to a D7000 and still love my D3000 as I know it:p much better. I do some of the adoption photographs for two local SPCA branches. We have just recently adopted a new family member and it has been a challenge to get him to eat but here he is with a big smile. He has some great looks so he will be sharing my camera with our other 3 dogs-all pugs :)

Nice looking dog... I found the same when I upgraded from the 5100 to the 7100. Keep working with it, it will do so much more & faster when you get used to it! I still have my 5100 but most work is with my 7100 now.

Is he an Australian Shepherd? He looks a LOT like one of my dogs. :)

We were told he was a tri colored collie cross but the more people i talk to say he is Australian Shep-I think he may have chow in him too with his black spots on his tongue and curly tail :)
