Yep. The 18-55 kit lens. I cheated it a little.
I took the shot and then cropped the heck out of it. I took advantage of the 14.2 megapixel clarity and cropped this to about 40% of the original.
Thanks everyone for the very kind comments. It feels good to be back in the saddle again.

Our lovely Helene has had some problems with her computer lately and I made a comment that I don't do WINDOWS. Here is my workflow setup.

20 inch iMac w/ 2.4 GHZ & 750 gig HDD.
2 320 gig USB HDD as storage
1 500 gig USB HDD as storage
1 1.5 terrabyte IEEE HDD as storage
Aperture 3 as primary image editing
and, most importantly,
1 Nikonites caffeine dispensing device

That is my Hershey Kiss Jar. I keep it FULL because you never know when you might have to take an "ABSTRACT" photo or two.

Is the 365 Club open to everyone? I was waiting until 1/1/12, but I see Pete jumped in (nice Day 1 photo by the way Pete). Is there a post somewhere that gives the details on getting into this club? Since I take photos everyday, this would be fun.

You are free to start your own, whenever you want. There is no rule for the start date. Only 2 rules...must be 365 consecutive photos, and each photo must be taken each day it is posted. Good luck to both of you....it is HARD.

By the way Pete, that is a fantastic closeup. Love it!
