Nicely done Udayan. Love the composition of this one and the sharpness of the bird in flight. I agree with Jack that the large watermark is a distraction. The watermark on this shot is much better!

It's a phase. We all went through it.

Phase 1: I haz a big camera now.
Phase 2: Gonna take pics of everything under the sun and share them online...cause I r photographer. Rawr!
Phase 3: I rock people's socks off! Better protect my stuff with a huge ass watermark.
Phase 4: Okay, maybe I'm not that good. Time to tone it down a little and practice more.
Phase 5: I only press the shutter button when someone pays me.

With due respect anthony and jack , I'm sorry for the watermark photos , but seriously i didn't get the reason for your analysis without even knowing me .

Not all of my photos are put up with a huge water mark , jjst 3-4 , datz coz , i also put up this photos at the social networking sites , and i was really tired of seeing my photos in ma friends album's without even asking me . so watermark is for them , and these 3-4 photos were on the recent list , so i added them without thinking anything , and man that's it .

and about the phases

*yes i do , d90 is better than my ol cam and im still learning how to use it more wisely .

*I don't click every photos under the sun , i click what i feel like , and some photos which i share , are for the sheer purpose of getting a critic review and to help me know where i get wrong .

* i already told ya , the huge ass wateremark photos are 3-4 until now . and plz i never said i rock people's sock off!! , i always said i was here to learn from the others and share my views .

Phase 5: I only press the shutter button when someone pays me.
* No one pay's me , but i feel very happy when someone likes my photos . i never got supported at my home for my photography , it was always weird to them and was like wtf im clicking on unknown streets and places .
the only support was u unknown guys over the net , your comments and likes helped me a lot in continuing this .

I'm sorry once again , for the reply above . Please don't take it otherwise coz i felt i need to clarify myself on this .

In case you haven't noticed from all the other threads on this forum, we're all a bunch of smart alecks, we're very relaxed with one another, and also pretty direct.
You have a great eye, Udayan, so just keep shooting. The watermark was a good call on Jack's part . . . the large ones really detract. You've got to keep your sense of humor about photography and photographers. If you take it too seriously, just like life, you're sunk. IMHO

My suggestion is to not post on social sites. It's easy enough to get a blog, post your photo there, and then post a link to it on FB or whatever site you're using. You can get a widget call "blog protector" that disables right-click downloads. If you're posting to social sites, expect your photos to be taken without your permission. Anthony has direct experience with FB and others with Flickr.

i'm kinda emotional guy :( , while replying was in a hell of a mood , so may b i got a bit out of line .Guess , I'm all right now :)

The analysis was not directed at you. Like I said in my original reply, we've all done it. We all go through the phases in one form or another. As for your watermark, it is a major distraction from your image. The truth is, if I didn't like your image in the first place, I wouldn't care about the watermark.

And now for the ego boost: I like your work, and think you have a great eye for detail. I especially like the one of the bicycle above!

As for social sites, a watermark in the corner of your image is more than enough. Anyone that concerned with stealing your work will find a way to remove it anyway. It's much more important to make sure you have a copyright embedded in your EXIF data.
