Who said anything about 800 raw files?? It was merely a suggestion and the alternative would be to dump them onto his computer.
800 images would be a slow day for me when I'm on vacation.

But we are not talking about you![]()
Anyone can take 800 images. And as noted before, not having access to the internet for several days would compound the issue of uploading files to the cloud.
If you went on a long hike, or were camping out in the sticks, you might have thousands of images to upload. Uploading thousands of raw files to the cloud require more time than you have before 11:AM check-out.
Lawrence will be travelling with me, all he needs is a 1TB HDD as I doubt he will fill that, even if he had 1 SD card we would be able to transfer them to his HDD and clear that card. I will be doing the same and only bringing 1 1tb HDD and my laptop. Even in 3 months in Africa I never used more than 4 cards a day and I transferred them each night to external HDDs.
That looks good, I would go the U3 mate.Just bumping this up and asking for final clarification before squeezing the trigger.
I plan to get 2 X 32GB cards which seems to be ample for my camera. This is what I plan to order: SanDisk 32GB Class 10 ExtremePRO SDHC Memory Card, U3, 95MB/s Read Speed SDSDXP-032G-A46
Just one question before I order:
Is the U3 better than the U1 for performance?
I seem to have read that it is.
Cheers
