Nikon D5100 w/ 18-200mm lens

Just bought the Nikon D5100 with the Nikon 18-200mm Vr lens for $650.00 from Best Buy, I researched for about 3 months and found what I believe is the deal of the year considering its a $500 body and $850 lens. Anyone have experience with this lens on this camera????

holy cow! unbelievable.. congrats, braindead decision.. mmmm wonder if they have any left.

I assume,, that this is a store purchase? I don't see it on their web site.

Goto best buy website, cameras and camcorders, then hit DSLR's, then scroll down and you'll see Nikon package deals, once you click on that it will be the second bundle, couldn't believe t myself, looked about a month ago and they were sold out so when I saw it today I jumped on it!!!

well,, wow,, I ordered one! holy cow. I am going to sell the 5100,, and I have a worn out 18-200 that I will ebay,,

I figure,, I'll sell the 5100 with a lens for 450,, and my used 18x200 for parts/etc for 150 dollars..

and gain a 18x200 for like 75 dollars,, awesome.. I have never seen a deal this good before.

so,, folks,, think about it,, you can buy this, sell the 18x200 and get a FREE 5100 16 Megpixel SLR,,

Yeah, it's basically like getting a 18-200 lens for really cheap, and it comes with a D5100 body!!! strange, but real.

the invoice they send says the body is priced at 49.99 and the lens at 599.99, I wish the body I bought last week was only 49.99!

Now im just waiting for the email that says they are out, or that it is a mistake...

That is stupid cheap for that combo - shame they've sold out online otherwise I would have bought one and had it shipped via family to the UK.

18-200mm VR II alone is $~860 here

Wow, I wonder if Nikon is going to d/c the 18-200 due to the 18-300. They have been selling real cheap on craigslist in my area.

If you are Britside of the pond I just bought D5100 with 18-55mm lens 55-200mm lens +strap +carry bag £449.00.

You are right Sam the offer has been taken off line, but I just rang the branch where mine was despatched from and I was told they would still do it providing they still have the stock left. They have a lot of branches.

London Camera Exchange are one of the few places where you can still ring which shop you want and speak to a person rather than some call centre type set up where you get to listen to the first half hour of some opera while you wait.

well,, the entry is now ALL SOLD out,, yes,, I will really believe it when the package shows up at my doorstop, I am keeping the lens for my D7000, and selling the D5100. This will go down as the best deal ever for me,, if again,,, the package shows up.
