Here are some shots comparing the 18-55 and the 18-200mm at 18 and 55 mm

Using the very scientific "Tootsie roll in bubble gum machine" method

I hand held it though, so Ill have to test sharpness when I get home and can get my tripod

18-55mm @ 55mm 18-200mm @ 55mm

Yup,, UPS truck showed up!,, interesting it was two separate boxes, Nikon did not Package them up,, Best Buy just sold two items combined for a Package Price, EVEN better,

Unpacked, tried out the new VRII lens, and really like it, Put it on my D7000, and just feels nicely balanced. sharp enough..

I am charging up the 5100 battery, first impression, wow, so compact, significantly smaller than the 7000. I am thinking that the 5100 will be the Perfect Prime camera., thinking how nice the 50 mm 1.8D willl be on that camera, tiny, Carry a 28, 50, and you have a nice combo.. Ultra sharp 16 meg sensor, and ultra small package.

I was going to sell it, but now just selling off stuff to keep it. Really nice hiking camera,, because it weighs nothing.

Oops,, forget,, not the D lens,, I'll have to save up for a 35 G lens. I'll have to check into the DX prime lens, might be the best match.

Good to know that you guys got what was advertised, sweet!! Yep, you will like the 5100. It's a d7000 in a smaller body and less manual functions.
