I have had a good trade in offer for mine against a Nikon 70-300 but cant persuade my self its worth the change.

Nothing against the 55-300 but yea, I would do it. Even if I do get a Tamzooka, I will keep my 70-300mmVR .

I would do it, if for no other reason than to be set up for an FX body in the future. That being said, I'm impressed with the results posted here, as I don't think I've pulled off anything as good with my version of this lens.
