They already have one. It's the 200 f/4 Micro-Nikkor which is about $1800 new.
Lol.. i hope it arrives in time..
This wasn't available anywhere except in this one store..
And apparently this was the last piece. As soon i got order confirmation, the item went out of stock.
Estimated delivery is 7-10 days.. so got to wait & see!
I was about to ask where you found one. Had one been available anywhere I may have gone with that before setting my mind (not settling on, mind you) the Sigma. I would love to do a comparison some time. It's a beautiful day in NJ today and I hope to start playing with it once I get my indoor work done.
Looking forward to seeing your shots with it.
I alwaysinvest in a filter to protect my glass. Some would call it a waste of money, and I agree until that first time something hits the lens as I'm walking. I look at it like riding a motorcycle without a helmet. You never need it until you need it, so it's all a matter of what you think your head is worth and how much you're willing to spend to fix it.
congrats, now the long wait
ALRIGHT!!
Just got an email saying that my lens has been shipped![]()

Most reasonable businesses would give you the refund when presented with that scenario. I would call, if possible, and ask to speak to that reasonable person with the power to make the decision. At first I would just politely explain and ask for the credit. Then I would move on to: "Hey you can either process my return and risk that I don't re-order from you or you can adjust for the new price so I remain a happy customer." As excited as I would be, I would order somewhere else if they wouldn't adjust the price, even if I had to wait. Its just crazy and bad business to ask you to return it and re-order to get a better price. They are not ready to refund the difference or provide any compensation but they are okay if i cancel & return the product and place the order once again...
Where did you buy from?
Ohh. That maybe be why they can't adjust the price. Maybe a different dealer with the lower price. Here - Nikon 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S VR Micro- Nikkor Lens (FX Format): Buy Camera Accessories @ Best Price in India | Snapdeal.com
They are one of the largest online retailers here and they have a number of vendors tied up for all the products.

Hopefully you can talk to somebody higher up that can help you. That lens is still $900 over here.Could be.. But these were the same vendors who were displayed earlier as well & they all had the same pricing as earlier.
Now, all of them seem to have dropped the price.
Any indicates in the global market for a sudden drop in price for this lens??
