Nikon 1 J1

What I have always found interesting about my Nikon film cameras - 2 X F2, 2 X EM, and a FE - is that with all things being equal they'll shoot the exact same picture...McCurry shot the Afghan Girl with a FM camera and a 105...he could just have easily done the very same photo with an EM...

I absolutely love my D5000...now if they would just put it into my F2 body I'd be in heaven.

I am a gear queer for sure but I bet you I spend more time taking pictures than fondling my camera...unfortunately I spend way more time typing on the computer than either...I am such a lazy @ss! lol

I'm still leaning to a J1 because I like its feel and I believe mirror less is the way I wanna go. Which is why I was looking at NEX cameras too

Old thread, still an awesome camera. point and shoot focus and metering. My favorite camera Except when you don't have batteries or the other lens...

Yeppers, I paid 500 for a second hand twin lens, it is favored for walking around. My D7000 with extras struggles to point and shoot, but that's the point. I love the way the J1 renders on auto, point and shoot....
