Great shot Chris! Curious, did you crop out the rest of the bird or was that the entire image?
Just a little sharpening could help this shot Chris. I hope you won't mind if I demonstrate what I mean.

Don't mind at all. I haven't experimented enough with sharpening. Obviously it made an improvement here. This will seem funny, but I didn't notice the blood before. Must have had rodent stew before I captured the shot.

And then you thought my cheap lens was sharper than your 24-70... I guess I'm a cheater when it comes to sharpening. I almost always sharpen for web because I'm reducing the size and I read I had to, plus, I like the end result more.
But maybe I over did it a little on your shot... Sorry.
Nice. The picture of the Phantom II is also with that lens.
Hey a fast mover jock! I spend most of my time in the heavies. I remember a story of the F-16 that was flying along around a C-5 one day and the jock did a nice barrel roll in front of the Galaxy. Pilot got on the radio and said "hey that was really cool! Could you do that again in a min, my co was taking his steak out of the oven and missed it!" So we just let them enjoy the piddle pack and get our dinner out LOL.Nice.
I've got a couple hundred hours in the F-4. McDonnell Douglas proved if you put enough thrust behind a brick, you could make it go supersonic.
Thank you Jack, I figured you would. Sometime my mind is thinking faster the my finger and I hit the wrong keys...lol?
I love the new lens, looking forward to using it a lot this summer. How is your 55-300mm working out?
All my service time was in tactical jets. I was Navy, but I'll not hold your Air Force background against you. After all, the Army guys need someone to dance with.Hey a fast mover jock! I spend most of my time in the heavies.
Argh, a swabby LOL.All my service time was in tactical jets. I was Navy... After all, the Army guys need someone to dance with.
Oh this thread is going south REAL fast LOL!Go NAVY!
I'm an ex navy man myself. Served on the HMCS Bonaventure aircraft carrier (when we actually still had one) as a navy diver.
