Jonas, just for fun I had a look at filters in a photo shop when I was last in Denmark, and they are just sooo expensive compared to the UK and probably the rest of the world.

Yep. Everything is a little expensive here., but especially filters are just over the top. Those are definitely an amazon matter for me ;)

You wanna try Australia!! I've bought a few filters from the UK at a lot less than I can buy here :(

Ok, I'll rule out both Australia and Denmark for any future filter buys then. UK prices do seem fair even in the stores. Btw. I recently bought a set of grad filters on amazon but it might have been too cheap as they feel a bit like painted plastic. But I have not had a chance to test them yet:)

Sorry to hear about your grandmom and also your friend. Hope he'll recover fast.

Your shots looks great :) As for the clouds, I like to underexpose them. Could also help with a grad filter.

Thanks. I'm sure he will be fine over time :)

Good tips :) I have a grad filter, maybe I should play a little with that :)

Jonas, the country side shot in day 137 is beautiful. Love all the shades of green and composition.

I'm pretty happy with the composition myself :)
There's something with the colours that seem a bit oversaturated. But they seemed that way out of camera, so I'm not sure what's going on there. Anyway, I'm glad you like it :)

It does look a bit, but it works for this shot. I wouldn't change it, but that is my opinion so take it for what its worth.

Went out with the 18-55 kit lens to practice some wide angle. It was just that none of the pics I brought home were any good :/ Oh well. Just one of those days...

Composition wise I really struggled with finding some good foreground material. I'll have to take another go at it some other time...

My grand mother passed away today :( As I took a quick portrait of her earlier this year, I brought back the raw file, and tried to make it better. Here's what I came up with. As I want it to be as good as possible, all PP critique is welcome (critique regarding the shot itself is also welcome, but there's not a lot II can do about that now...)

The shot is taken in her home, and as such I want to show her in her normal environment. But is it too distracting?

My condolences..

I think it's a gorgeous portrait. I would maybe see if I could blur out the bright part of the door coming up in the middle if her head/hair, if I was nit picking.

Thank you. Of course I'm very sad about it, but on the other side, I'm also very happy that she could leave without too much suffering, and that it all went relatively quickly. I think that's a great comfort after all :)
