Re: nidding's first year of shooting

Be careful... street portraiture is addicting. It's a lot of fun, and occasionally challenging. That 35mm is a great lens for that. Really makes you get into the action. That's the lens I use, pop it in aperture priority, and fire away.

Great work!

I'd have to say that I liked the distance the 55-200 gave me from my subjects. But maybe in time, Ill learn to appreciate the 35 in these situations as well

Hmm. I'm afraid I have made an error in my day numbering.
What day is today, 8th of April, supposed to be?

Day 100
Spring is here big time, and everything is slowly starting to blossom. So many great colours are popping up all over the place. I got out a little late in the afternoon today though, so I had to bump the ISO to 1600 which is a little on the optimistic side for my d3100. I had originally planed to use my 28mm with a reverse ring for some close-ups. However the wind outside and the extreme shallow DOF is not a good combination. Luckily I had also brought my 55-200 that had to double as a macro lens for today.

Day 101
As the kids here in Denmark say "En snegl på vejen er tegn på regn i Spanien"...

EDIT:...and apparently they are referencing My Fair Lady when they say that. I did not get that reference till a moment ago. There you go, photography is broadening cultural horizons in all areas :)

Uh huh.....I see you tried to sneak that apostrophe in there to make it look like it wasn't yours. We all know that you were just playing with your girl Lego. Cats outta the bag now buddy! So where is Lego Ken?! 😉

Day 104
Sorta been preoccupied all through the day, so haven't taken the time to take a picture. Just as I looked out the window, I saw some really cool cloud formations, which I tried to capture.

I'm not sure what to do with the building in the foreground. I could black it out to make it silhouette or bring it out from the information I've got. Here I have gone for something in between.

Version two with correction proposed later in thread
