She says thank you. And the pattern is available for free on ravelry.comNice shots of the sweater. I especially like the close up that shows the texture. Tell your wife nice job on the knitting. I like those blue buttons on the green.

Thanks ScottNice shots. And nice knitting.
Thanks ScottI'll tell my wife you said so.
I think this thread needs something different after the last couple of days. I'll see what I can come up with. Maybe something "a little more manly"![]()
Day 40
Dangit! The very manly plans I though I had got cancelled. So the photo I had time to take was taken less than ½ a meter from the previous ones, and is only marginally more wild. On the other hand, there's a beer for anyone who can guess what this tool is used for

Nope. Not that either.
As this is actually really hard to guess I'll give you a little help.
It is related to making some kind of clothing, but it has nothing to do with wool. Though the material still comes from an animal. Also it's a historical tool, and isn't actually used any more.
Today's photo will contain the answer![]()
Day 41
This is a replica of a stitching awl, used in the medieval European shoemaking. The awl is used for punching holes in the leather before stitching with either a needle or a boar's bristle. Like so:

The picture is lit only by candle light, and it wasn't easy keeping the hand steady
...so no one guessed rightBut the beer will go to the one who gets here the fastest
