Cool video! It looks like they are adding some interesting new stuff! The strap that works like the bos tail seemed like a great idea too! :D

I must be ahead of my time, because I made my own tether strap last year. :) Works well, too, and not difficult to make at all. Just requires some ingenuity and how-to skills to put it together. I include a photo of my own version of the tether strap on my Black Rapid. :) :

Great minds Jack, we did ours too. Extends to the foot of the 70-200 2.8 when attached, not that I'm paranoid!!

I always attach my strap/monopod/tripod to the lens foot when I'm working with that big a lens.

While the lens mount of the D800 may be robust enough to handle it, some cameras' aren't and can be damaged by the load from such a lens. It may seem odd, but I've gotten used to it.

It makes sense to strap to the heaviest part. It's also better for balance.

I always attach my 80-400 to a tripod and not the camera, that lens weighs quite a bit. When hand holding I hold onto the lens the most when walking around.

i just attached the strap straight to the carrying mount, had a little trimming of the black plastic cover on the carrying mount, basically looks like jacks without his tether strap.

OK my mounts are a little different than shown (larger)
