My new D7100 a return?

So I've had a similar sort of situation so thought I'd jump into this thread instead of starting another similar one. Hope that's ok.

Finally purchased a D7100 body today new, from a very reputable and long established family run business in the city nearest to me.

Anyway got got home and everything looks fine. All components seem to neatly packed and in plastic where you would expect it. The user manual isn't in a bag, like I have seen on some YouTube videos, it just sitting loose. Anyway this maybe the nom for Europe. I know the US one comes in plastic but it has a Spanish and English version whereas the European only has English, so maybe it's normal to be packed like this.

What at caught my attention finally were there were a couple of items missing that I'm pretty sure should be there.
Pi didn't notice at first, but went looking for the warranty card so I could claim online for the cash back offer, and noticed there wasn't one in the box!

Also the cd software that should come in the box also wasn't there. Now I don't use the software but the point is it should be there.

I can't get in contact with them direct now until Monday which is a real pain. No camera to use as I have it all packed away again and sold my other camera yesterday. It was also a 25 mile drive each way and I went in specifically to get the camera. I'll be in work Monday so don't know what I'll do.

Surely these two items should be in the box? I don't really care about the cd but the warranty card?

So disappointed. Was looking forward to today for a long time.

Sounds like they sold you a demo. They should at least tell you so you can make a decision on your own to buy it or not.

Check shutter count.

The very first page of the manual lists what should come in the box, and this includes the CD and warranty card. You should get the dealer to replace yours with a new model, since yours clearly isn't new. If it's a demo, you have only their word for how well or poorly it's been looked after.

Got sorted today with a new body. Brought the old one back. The shop was full of apologies. They only had the D7100 bodies in a week as I had enquired before so it was a strange one. They were a little perplexed that there was no warranty card or cd with the box I got.

I didn't even get as far as inserting the battery to take a shot and check the shutter count. Once I wasn't comfortable with what I'd got I packed it away again for return.

Anyway alls well that ends well. I'm now the proud owner of a D7100 and can't wait to get going with it.
