G'day Brandon,
get over to New Jersey - you'll get some great shots of "the big apple" from there... enjoy... it's a great town. Also (if you get the time) have a wander around Brooklyn Heights... some great architecture and many interesting characters for you to try your new camera out on... enjoy.

cheers

Congrats on your purchase. Just remember....when you get it all back home, your warranty is over and done with (unless you made specific arrangements with Nikon USA to do otherwise). To my knowledge, Nikons are warranted only in the country in which they are sold.
Not a worry he would have to ship it to Nikon USA for warranty no big deal. Because what happens if you lived in the USA bought a camera then moved to another country? Your warranty isn't void. You just have to ship it to country of origin for repair.

Great gear, great city, great prices.

Kinda sucks living this side of the world in some ways. But in others …… well you can't beat it.

Enjoy the holiday.

Went to the Empire State Building yesterday. Got a scare on the way because I was taking photos with a strange line appearing in all of my portrait photos. At first I thought it was my Hoya polarising filter. After taking it off it the as line was still there. At this time I'm thinking the lens is dodgy.
Got Into the long long queue for the observation deck (Pro Tip: Buy a front of line pass next time otherwise allow the majority of your day to be wasted). Needless to say I had enough time to give my camera a decent check. Flipped the mirror up as a last solution, and alas!, a hair on the sensor! Must have got in there the one time I changed the lens the night before! Found just in time,

Glad it was an easy fix. I've been re-organizing my bags the past few nights and asking myself if I really need to bring sensor cleaning supplies along on every trip. Now I'm thinking yes.

Hand squeeze air blower is what saved me this time. Will never leave my bag again.

Hey, another sandgroper!! Congrats on your purchase Brandon, and I'm especially envious you went into B&H! I'm planning a trip to the US of A sometime in the middle of next year so I'm kinda hopeful I can pop in there too. Enjoy your D7100, it's a great camera!!

I would put B&H on my list to visit above some of the famous icons new York has to offer. Definitely unique when you see how there overhead delivery system works.
