So are you anticipating taking landscapes for the most part? What sort of equipment do you have now?

Just off the top of my head I'd suggest a good polarizing filer, a good tripod and/or monopod and a wireless remote if you're lacking any of those items.

As for getting good shots, my best advice is that you study up on what makes for a good landscape photo, compositionally speaking. For instance many people think a wide, or super-wide angle lens is essential for landscapes when, in reality, that simply is not the case. And while most photographic boo-boos can be fixed, or at least minimized, with post-processing fixing bad composition is next to impossible.

Simply put, strong composition is what will elevate your shots from "ho-hum" to "WOW!".

I was in Milford sound back in 2007. I took a boat trip which is great, but be prepared to shoot from a moving base. Also you want to visit just after a rain fall because the water falls are over the top fantastic.

Has anyone had this problem well it's not a problem really
18-55 lens comes out prob half a stop darker than 18-105

Both athe exact same settings think it was 160 at f8
As I said not a problem just thought a bit odd

I like the reflections, but compositionwise I think the photo suffers.

Reflections are great to draw in interest but other than that what does the photo show to generate interest?
