Day 14 Photo

Pretzel this photo is for you. Since the cookies were such a diet breaker. I got home late from work and decided that I should follow up last nights photo with a healthy meal for Pretzel. No cookies for you. However as far as the rest of you who like the cookie picture. If you are ever in my neck of the woods, drop me a note and I would be happy to make you a fresh batch of cookies.

good luck, my wife is doing this, lost 25 lbs so far, i havent gained them, so its win win for us both.

Tell you wife congrats. Hopefully, I will be able to report my goal of loss of 50 by the end of the year. If I get this training job that I applied for over the summer, I will make 5600 dollars that we are not planning on for 12 days of work. So I think Moab Man want to go on a photo vacation with the earning. I need to lose the poundage, because I fear he might want to go somewhere that would require me to wear a swimsuit. Me in a swim suit right now is a scary thought.

This lady is a very dear friend of mine that I worked with at the TV station. She has moved on to another station now. She was overweight and has lost a lot of weight. She is telling her story on the news over 5 nights. This is part one. I think a number of us could use this advice.

Fantastic!!! Just for the record, after January, I can start to partake of the sweets again... so don't write the cookies COMPLETELY off! Pork chops and corn, though, make for quite the tasty treat as well!!!

Day 16 Photo's

So today's photo may seem a little odd, however, I told everyone that I was going on a diet to lose 50 pound by the end of the year. What I did not say was the reason why. The doc told me that I am ticking time bomb, overweight, high stress job, terrible eating habits, and a family history of heart disease. When he checked my blood pressure he put me on medication because it is too high. I watched my grandmother suffer with heart disease for 15 years and several surgeries before she passed away. Considering I am only 40 and the doc has already put me on blood pressure medication. I decided I need to make a change, I love my job, even if it is high stress. So the only thing that I could change is my weight and eating habits. So here is my profile picture to help motivate me, and the profile picture serves two purpose, I need a photo everyday. So I will be posting picture of my progress every thirty days.

Current Weight 201 pounds

Goal Weight 150 pounds

That sure did and well done on facing and confronting this.

Early last year my BP shot up to 175/138 for no apparent reason (no family history whatsoever). Turns out it was the anti inflammatories I was on. My doctor told me to cut out salt (I don't eat a lot anyway) so I did some research and landed up increasing my salt intake. BP dropped instantly and is now 136/84 (last week)

The trick is to eat the correct salt - pink himalayan or celtic (both unrefined). There is a series of videos on Youtube that is very interesting. Very boring presenter but good info and the reason I changed.

Here's the link: Salt your way to health Section 1 of 5 - YouTube

You can do it brave lady.

I can understand why you would get another broken bone. For me the biggest stressor is the fact that the legislator in my state seems to think that as teacher we are working on a factory line producing widgets. They are in the process of attaching our pay to how the students do on end of level testing. Which would be fine if the accountability was equal for parents, students, and teacher. However, in the new system the only person being held accountable is the teachers. We have no power to hold back or fail a student, regardless of how poorly they perform or refuse to do their work. I have several students who will yell you I don't have to do my school work or homework because there is nothing the teacher can do to me. Most of my students who say this also have parents who have no value for education. Though the summers off and vacation are great perks
