Next on my list...get a good Micro or Macro lens....I love them!

I have used the Nikon 40mm, 60mm, 105mm, and the Tamron 90mm with and without stabilization.
My thoughts...
40mm Great lens, really inexpensive, disadvantage is you have to get really close and be mindful of your own shadow or the lens getting in the way.
60mm Seemed slightly sharper than the 40mm, but you are still pretty close to your subject.
105mm Autofocus when pursuing bees in flight is lightning fast. Quality is outstanding. Good distance from your subject. Hefty price tag.
Tamron 90mm without stabilization - A little more light gets in than the Nikon 105mm, sharpness the same, autofocus is not nearly as quick as the 105mm. Respectable autofocus speed, but not lightning like the 105mm. Good distance from your subject. If you can live without stabilization this lens is the best deal going, quality to dollar spent.
Tamron 90mm with stabilization - I don't use stabilization as I have routinely found the slightest softness when it's on. Don't like it. HOWEVER, the Tamron 90mm with stabilization is the first one I have found that worked as well as I thought it should and would not hesitate to recommend the stabilization in this ONE application.
Those are my personal thoughts for what it's worth. All of the above lenses are outstanding. There is no bad lens in the bunch.

Still dying! Curse this strep! However, I had a six hour video shoot to do for a school followed up by four hours of editing. I am exhausted, sick, and want my pillow. Consequently the only picture I have is of the logo on this computer I'm typing on. Goodnight everyone. If I'm lucky the Grim Reaper is waiting for me in my bed so that I can end this insufferable sore throat. I've lost 17lbs from living on nothing but soup, rice, and water. And the best part, a co-worker of mine told me her strep throat from a couple of weeks ago took two weeks for the sore throat to finally stop. I want food! All done whining, good night.

yes....get well soon....I've had bad allergies to the pollen this year that's left me with a cough, and sore throat...hope you get over strep soon! I know, do a macro shot of the inside of your throat! Talking about a selfie!

Day 140 Baseball
In spite of being sick, the show must go on! Today our fifth grade classes had a field trip to see the minor league Salt Lake City Bee's play baseball. God was kind enough to grace me with a day that my throat was in the painful but bearable range for this trip because I had to go regardless. So for that, thank you God, I needed it. Now maybe God continued to take pity on me because I was even able to eat solid food today. I had to chew it into mush, drink it down with water, and the pain was bearable, but I got to eat FOOD! Funny how perspective changes things. Ordinarily a day full of so much pain and little food would be a bad day. But after a week of dehydrating because it hurt too much to drink, and forget about eating, that due to perspective I embraced this day of pain. Looks like for the first time in a week I might be heading in the right direction health wise.
With all that out of the way, here is my shots of the day.

This one you might notice the batter is missing a bat. One part of the bat is by the batters knee. Another part is seemingly sticking out of an umpires head. And the last bit is the stump in the batters hand.
