Which picture did you use this light in? Light painting is interesting to me but dont know that much about it.
Thanks for the compliment, whether you knew you gave one. The Milky Way cliff and foreground was painted with two lights.

Day 128 A Cast of Falcons

I went out to wait on some Eagles to return and they unfortunately did not fly this afternoon. Instead I caught a cast of Falcons. Not a great shot, but it's what I got. I will try to hunt the Eagles again tomorrow.

Day 132, F-22 Raptors

I love living next to an air force base! Checking off one more on my list of aircraft to shoot.

So on my bicycle ride home I saw an A-10 Warthog flying overhead. Being familiar with controlling aircraft from my U.S. Air Force days, and how long training sorties take, I rushed home and got my camera ready. Weapon of choice for aircraft: D7100, 55-300mm, and a keen ear. So there I sat at my computer listening for the whine of an A-10 engine and camera right next to the door for a quick draw and shoot. First sound of a jet engine and I bolt out the door as I listen and determine that is not the sound of an A-10. Stepping outside into the open and I look up, BAM! There is a flight of F-22 Raptors heading out to the training area.

While I did not get to check A-10 Warthog's off my list, I did get to mark off the F-22 Raptor. Now if I can get that A-10 in the area as well as that rarely seen F-35 Lightning I will just about have all my fighters captured.

Wished I could have had better lighting for a sharper capture, but a kill is a kill and I got the Raptors.

Nice! I have your A-10 in the air as they fly them at Indiantown Gap. Don't have an F-22 in flight but do have some of one on the ground.

Hill A.F.B. is a maintenance depot for all kinds of various aircraft so we see just about everything from time to time. The only ones stationed here are the F-16's so I am fortunate that maintenance is done here. Of course I can get them all at the air show, but that takes away from the hunt.

Day 133 Raptor and Falcons

Tried for more than a year to shoot a Raptor and today I got another one combined with a couple of Falcons.

Day 134 Flowers

Feeling a bit under the weather so I went for the easy shot - flowers. They don't fight back or put up much of a fight.

Rose & Bloom - Been picking up the D5100 more lately. It's funny how so often this level of camera is looked down upon, but in educated hands they turn out some beautiful work.

And I caught this tiny little flower as the last bits of light beamed through the shrub catching the light on its petals.
