LOL! It was your side of the pond that really drove me to extremely dislike football. I lived in Europe for nearly ten years and it seemed like nearly every time there was a football game of some minimal importance it always ended with damage in and around the arena.

I know that not every football fan is a hooligan, but football definitely seems to have more than its fair share of hooligans. And don't worry, it seems that hooliganism is just as applicable to our soccer playing kids here in America that think it's appropriate behavior in the game to kick a referee. Or, last year we had a 17 year old kid here in my neck of the woods that sucker punched a referee. That referee, and father of two children, died a short bit later.

I know every sport has their bad apples, but bad apples seem to come in bushels concerning football.

All the hooligans aside, there isn't enough scoring!

It certainly had a lot of hooliganism in the past but it has largely been wiped out over the past years with CCTV, stadium bans and travel bans etc.

But like you say, the problem now is a the lower levels.. a big problem in Europe is the parents, encouraging foul play and being violent towards match officials and even the young players. People do need to remember that its sport, not a battle!

Day 115 - Bears - Cell phone picture

Had to go out of town overnight and stay with my mother-in-law. I don't know why women find it cute to have all these critters in a room staring at you, but I find it creepy. Among other creepy life like life size dolls were all these teddy bears. You just know that after the lights go out these things all watch you.

Day 116 - Aquarium Trip

Went to the newly opened Living Planet Aquarium. If you visit Utah, specifically Draper, you should pop in and check it out. Really nice place.

We have had plenty of cloudy yucky weather as of late. So today's photo is of some nice blue clear skies. Not a great subject matter, but I'm glad to have my blue skies back.
