Day 7 - Cereal

So I'm sitting here late in the evening trying to figure out what to shoot. It came to me, I will pull out the Crunch Berries from some Cap'n Crunch cereal and shoot a close-up. I learned that sometimes the food we eat shouldn't be too closely looked at. This close up has kind of grossed me out.

It's only gross when you know what it is. I had two thoughts, one being a flashback to something I "saw" in my much younger days during an "experiment" in college. The other had something to do with really old Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts, which may or may not lessen the disgust over the fact that these are actually a type of food product. LOL

I like the shot regardless of what they may, or may not, be. :)

Day 9 - Band

Shot of my daughter rocking out. Tried to dirty up the image a bit as it was a well lit stage at church without any cool lighting.

Day 10 - Street

Wife and I were out late, and then to a movie. So after a late night out I'm getting my picture posted this morning.

Day 6 - Fire & Ice

This shot is not a spectacular image as much as it was an experiment of putting fire and ice together. I now know how to make it happen and it's far harder than you think. The next time I try this it will be with the intent of making a more aesthetically pleasing shot.

So I present you with Fire & Ice

I wonder if the good old superglue and cotton ball would get it and keep it going pretty good.

I used a cotton ball and just the right amount alcohol dampness. Too wet with alcohol and it won't light/stay lit. However, I have never lit superglue; will have to play with that.

Great shots. If your going to fight over the 500mm I will take it off your hands until the fighting stops. I need to get an Eagle shot and I don't have a long lens.

I was watching DIY home something or other one day and the guy went on and on about how if you are out camping always take cotton balls and superglue its a for sure light every time. I have yet to try it my self but on his show it went up pretty fast, a couple of drops on the cotton ball and flamage. Since the show I have moved them away from each other in the cupboards. paranoid much maybe. LOL

Unfortunately, Moab man has already lost that battle. I won, I got the lens. But he should of known he was going to lose. Men never win fights with their wives. That is why there is such things as roses and chocolates. It is the bargaining for knowing they should of not started the battle in the first place. Just kidding, Moab man and I have a great relationship. He is very caring, and takes amazing care of me. He would give his last breath to protect me and the shirt off his back to get me the things that I want. That is why I love him so much. I don't know what my world would be like without him. So he really, just gave me the lens without much of an argument, because his lady wanted the lens.

However, I would love to use the lens to shoot an eagle. Unfortunately, we don't have too many of them flying around where I live.

However, I would love to us the lens to shot a shot of an eagle. Unfortunately, we don't have too many of them flying around where I live.

Day 11 - Storm

Went out for a near midnight picture of the mountains as a cold front and winter storm arrived. Unfortunately, the storm arrived quicker than I did at my shooting location as I caught the storm slamming into the Wasatch Front mountains here in the Rockies. Behind those clouds dumping snow is a mountain that goes up one mile (1.6 km) to a total elevation of just shy of 10,000 feet (3 km).
