Excellent entries Pat, number two and three are superb! Many different elements and one (two) of those rare shots you can stare at for a while and enjoy, nicely done!

Can a rookie enter? Nothing that comes close to comparing to the rest, but might as well put some shots in, right? Entry 1

I caught this lovely bloom with the sunlight coming down from just above and behind and thought it would make a nice B&W.

3rd and final entry... I seem to have a fixation on the in-close details lately. :) I'll probably throw the full color originals up in the flower thread or on my 365 (more like a 127) thread soon too.

Well, all the entries have been excellent so far, the Judges have certainly got a job in front of them, choosing 5 out of so many stunning photos.

I was holding off on my 3rd entry, hoping to get the time to get something a bit better.
But I have run out of time, as I will be doing a bit of travelling over the next couple of days, and probably wont get time to post.

So I chose this one that I took the other day to be my final entry.

Red Honeysuckle from our garden photographed in my light tent with a single strobe coming from above. D700 and 55mm f/2.8 AIS Micro-Nikkor. These red honeysuckle are very common around here and are much more fragrant than the more well known yellow or white honeysuckle. These flowers had not yet opened completely yet

And our Lotus flower which blooms every year in our Koi pond out back for about a week and then disappears overnight. D700 and 105mm f/1.8 AIS Nikkor
