ted, when you r out and about on your "cooter". What equipment do you carry and what do you carry it in? There doesn't look to be much storage. Thanks

Cooter is a 250cc Aprilia. I've had it over 75 MPH on the highway. It handles exceptionally well.

I can use my Lowepro 302 and carry my D700 with lenses. With it slung over my shoulder, the bottom of the bag actually rests on the rear seat behind me, so the weight on me is minimal.

If I take my D5100, it will fit in a small camera bag on the rear of the scooter with the 18-55mm lens and a spare battery. With either camera, I can strap the entire Lowepro (202 or 302) onto the rear carrier if I want to. A tripod is also strapped on without a problem.

I travel both ways depending on the distance and what my goals are. The scooter is extremely handy for getting to places cars can't go or where there's limited parking. Plus, 75 MPG doesn't hurt either.

This is the bag I use to carry the D5100 with 18-55.

Thanks Pat. I have no idea if he's a member of a club. I was on my morning bike ride. He was a guy on the street waiting for a buddy. I asked if I could take his picture and he said yes.

Good looking group of guys, except maybe the one all the way to the right!! Just kidding!

After I hit the curb and went down yesterday, Chris is making me use the camera bag that came with the kit. It barely holds the camera with the 55-300 lens. There's room for my phone, S3100 and spare battery. It's a whole lot heavier to carry than my insulated Publix bag.

I wasn't carrying the D5100. I had the Coolpix S3100.

The bike is fine. A couple of scrapes on the pedal. I fell on the grass and the bike fell on me. Limping a little today, but still managed to ride 10 miles.

Sorry to hear that you went down hopefully a minor injury....

Me too!! The bike landed on top of me, so I'm surprised I'm not black and blue. Woke up this morning with a slight limp from landing on my left side and sleeping on it all night. Didn't stop me from riding today.

Fountain from the sidewalk. Some day I'm going to get up the nerve to knock on their door and ask if I can go in their yard to get a picture from the front of the fountain.

Pedaled to breakfast yesterday, then over to Wako. Chris stopped to chat with some one and I kept walking. Halfway around the park, he called to tell me two gators were having a disagreement over something. I knew the action would be over by the time I got there and I was correct.

Anyway, one of the gators was still hanging around. Enter the Great Blue Heron. Gator appears to not be interested and heads in the opposite direction.

Heron flew off and gator went searching for his meal elsewhere.
