At the bottom of my street there's a Wetlands Nature Reserve. Don't see any of these though, unless someones secretly flushed one down the bog (toilet). That'd scare the dog walkersAll dressed up for a night on the town

No dogs allowed in our wetlands. That would be teasing the gators and that's illegal.

Snipes must be kind of rare....we used to tell kids in the neighborhood we were going to take them out in the woods to go 'snipe hunting'. We knew they'd never find one, but were counting on the scary sounds coming out of the woods to scare them back to our house. It was fun. Never knew what a snipe really was until now. Thanks Marilynne.
I'm not good at guessimating Eddie, but around 50 - 100 feet. I used the Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm.
