I love South of the Border . You should have stopped Marilynn. You could have a a taco and an ice cream cone. It don't get no better than that.

I'm not saying it is a dogwood, but that's what the custodian told me at the rest stop. The cottonwood site (Eastern Cottonwood (Populus deltoides)) I found had the flowers on catkins.

We stopped when we moved to FL 36 years ago and never went back. We don't do touristy things like that. Many moons ago my mother and I stopped for their chili. Everything was in one building - lunch counter and towels. Nothing like it is today.

Thanks Pat. It was pretty nasty when we arrived at the inlet. I left the camera in the vehicle and we ran to the shelter. About 10 minutes later it stopped raining.

Gathering nesting stuff, actually, he found an abandoned nest and all the pieces were just the right size

Get out of my way - there were about six people on the boardwalk close to his gathering site and squawked at the people every time he flew by
