Gone for five days and most of the juvies have flown the coop. These are the only Great Blue Herons I spotted the other day.

Yesterday we drove out to Lake Okeechobee.

This is our favorite catfish restaurant.

After lunch we headed to the rim around Lake Okeechobee.

and then the skies opened up. We ran for the car and waited 5 minutes. It didn't let up, so we drove home.

A couple of Mottled Ducks behind the flea market. One of the workers feeds them three times a day, so they waddle over whenever they see people out there.
