Different day, different canal. This immature Black Crowned Night Heron was sitting on a pipe not more than 8 feet away when we stopped. He didn't wait for me to get my camera out of the bag.

After the park, we headed south. Passed this riding school.

BTW, the dark spot under the tail is the riders right foot. I did a double take when I saw that.

First Killdeer I've seen this year. There was a whole flock, but Chris stepped over to the canal and they all took off.

Oh, these were shot through a chain link fence. I am always amazed how the fence just disappears.

This is Harold. We met him over a month ago at our favorite pizza joint. He has a car carrier and we immediately harassed him about bringing snow bird vehicles to FL. He told us he did that once and would never do it again. He hauls new cars for dealerships. He parks his rig behind Green Cay. We caught him right after he pulled in yesterday.

Yesterday I saw an osprey going in to a swoop, but I was on the other side of the tree line, by the time I got there, he already had his fish.
