Our friend Ron (rfactor) - quick shot outside Bru's - how'd I do? I'm not that great with people photos.

Thanks Don. Still waiting on getting one of them in the swoop!!

Good luck with getting the moment of capture, Marilynne. It is a daunting task, requiring great tenacity and patience; and copious amounts of good luck, too. You are not helped by the available foraging range for our raptors here in the south, since they aren't really focused on any particular place to hunt. It can almost be that you'd need wings to follow them around.

Your post catch shots are great. Keep them coming!

Thanks WM. I have two ospreys that I'm watching, Ozzie and Harriet are always on the same telephone poles. They don't spook when I'm around any more. I can get right under the pole without stressing them to much. One of these days I will get them in that swoop!!

These were taken after the sun was very low in the sky. I thought I needed the flash, but I think I ruined them with it.

This was cropped to remove the trash.

So where did he go afterwards, right next to the trash.
dsc_2973_01.jpg

I was able to get his body to blot out the trash

Without flash - much better

Enough already, I'm outta here

I think you should be able to bring back the details in the birds with a little Post Processing.
