Those guys are really interesting looking. I've never seen them before. All we get are turkey vultures (or buzzards as most of my students call them).

I think they look the same as turkey vultures only with black heads.

Pretty much. How big are they? The turkey vultures we have around here have wingspans of about 6 ft across.

Wing span is about 4 1/2 feet across, so they're a little smaller.

I've been watching this bird of paradise every day waiting for the bloom to ripen(?). We had three days of rain and no bike ride and I missed it.

Went to a retirement picnic yesterday at John Prince Park. It seems a lot of folks fish from the boardwalk and have problems.

Thanks Pat. I was still working on Friday's stuff this morning along with yesterdays. Tomorrow I'll work on today's. I have some more kites, but they pretty much look the same except higher up.
