Marilynne's Wetlands and Other Stuff

When I go out in the morning after getting off work, I usually go someplace to shoot the sunrise and usually I find some trash spread around by uncaring individuals. Then I just about always spend a couple of minutes picking up and disposing of properly in the trash cans that suprisingly are just a few fee away. So it seems laziness is the American way.

Thanks for taking the time to clean up after others.

I saw the chicks when I was there yesterday, but I couldn't get a good shot, they were too far away. All mine were out of focus. Great shots!

Thanks Bob. A few of the people I've befriended at Wako said the chicks disappeared after yesterdays storm. They weren't there last night.

Where I saw them was, when you go into Wako and you come to the split where you can go left or right, go right and you come to the burm. The chicks and the 2 adults were on the burm running around. I could only get a couple of shots and they scurried into the bushes that border the burm.

My shots were from the mud flats to the left of the T, before the tree covered concrete walkway. There were four chicks. I've seen stilts where you mentioned, but not chicks.
