Well, that's all it took Marilynne. Taking a photo that looks like a painting can be quite effective. It was more popular in the ealy 20th Century till Ansel Adams came along, with his insistence on extra sharp images form foreground to infinity. I think that the "painterly effect" can add a dream like quality to a painting reminiscent of Impressionistic or Plein Air painters. I believe both schools of thought can produce great photos.Thanks Ron. Had to look up painterly, been seeing that word a few times around here.
