Some more manual focus

The Old Key Lime House is a restaurant in Lantana. Looks like they have a Tiki Bar Boat now.

The last of my manual focus. The vessels were easy to focus since they were moving slow. This woodpecker wasn't, since he kept moving around the palm.

Some one at Green Cay said the little hawk on the upper branch is a Merlot. I never heard of that and it's not in any of my books, so I'm not sure what it is. The other bird is a kingfisher.

Perhaps a Merlin? We had nesting Merlins a few years ago and great to watch them but holy NOISY

Marilynne/Pat, do you get confused with your old cameras??

Not really... At first, after I learned the 7100, I found the 5100 awkward & slow... I use it enough though that I stay comfortable... I usually leave the long lens on it and along with the tripod plate... I tend to grab when on the deck and see a bird, squirrell or plane.. I also use it for the dog park, lighter and like the moveable screen for that.

Thanks Pat! I found it I had trouble focusing with it. Took nine shots and only kept four.

Marilynne/Pat, do you get confused with your old cameras??

Yes Roy, it was confusing for me. I'm just glad I didn't mess up any "to die for" moments. Maybe if I had been switching back and forth between the two like Pat it would be different.

It's going back in the gun safe.

When I first got my Trek Pure LoStep, I made what Chris calls a "doily" so my basket wouldn't be laying up against the paint. Last week I took the basket off when I got the flat tire so I could transport the bike without the basket flying in the breeze. I also took off the "doily" so I could wash it. Boy was I surprised to see the paint had worn off even with my four ply "doily". Chris made a bracket to hold the basket off the post. It worked great until I put the camera in the basket, so now he's coming up with plan b, whatever that is.

Anyway, here's the turned bracket he made with my "doily".
