One of the few times I wish the D7100 had the movable monitor.

How close are you to this gator?
He was right under my feet on the boardwalk. I had to do tippy-toes, then held the camera out, held on tight and hoped for the best. Didn't want to chance more than one shot.

Was hoping you had not waded out into the water to get the shot.
Loxahatchee Wildlife or some of the canals are the only places you can do that.

Yes, it's been there for years on that high tension wire pole. Found it strange that none of them came out. I could hear them.
Nice shot! All the ones I have ever seen around here are either in the water or on a fallen tree in the water. I have never been able to spot one in a tree.
Thanks Alan. They're usually sitting on a branch that's touching the water. I must have a shot here somewhere. When I find it, I'll let you know.
