I took a crappy shot of this with my iPhone and ran it through Merlin. It came up as a Red Knot. When I got home, I ran this shot through Merlin and it came up as Solitary Sandpiper. I didn't think it was a Red Knot, no red anywhere on it.

Still processing Thursday's photos from Peaceful Waters. We were there for four hours, walked over two miles.

This was really too far away, but I saw the frog dangling and had to try

Hard to get the green, the light has to be just right

Upset I lost part of the wing and lost more when I straightened it

Rounding the bend heading towards the exit when we spotted the otter.

It was eating well, very hard to get a shot.

And then it came up and stopped. Saw something hanging out of its mouth. Bad day for frogs...
