i would love to see 50 degrees, t-shirt weather. Takes me back when i came home from service in germany
in february 1966. I traveled down to miami, at the airport most every one i saw was wearing ski parkas like the gal in the wako picture. :)))

It warmed up to the mid 60's today. Chris wore his shorts and sleeveless shirt. When the sun went behind the dark clouds, he was freezing. He left his sweatshirt at home. I was comfy with my jeans, t-shirt and wind breaker.

The Belted Kingfisher was the closest I've ever seen it to the boardwalk. Unfortunately, I wasn't near it.

It flew off before I got there. This should probably be in the Almost thread.

Saw this GBH poking around and he came up with this. At first I thought it was a fish, then it turned to reveal a rodent.

The GBH stabbed it a few times then tried to drown it.

It turned its back when it swallowed it. Check out the neck.

If you're ever on your way in to Wako, watch out for this person
dsc_6556_01_650655.jpg

who drives this
dsc_6463_01.jpg

I was making the right into Wako (on my bicycle) and she turned right with me and nearly hit me. When I confronted her, her response was, she saw me and she didn't hit me, so what was I complaining about. She then stood by her vehicle until I went up the ramp because and I quote - "I'm afraid you're going to do something to my car". Guess that's what she would have done if I were driving a vehicle.

She also informed me that she lives here all year. What difference does that make?? If that's true, then she should know FL law - pedestrians, bicycles, then vehicles!!!!

This female Anhinga caught a nice meal. She speared it good.

She swam ashore to remove it from her beak, then moved behind the leaves to consume it.
