While pedaling past a major canal, Chris and I noticed a major hyacinth growth over the last three weeks. On our return trip, we spotted this guy pushing the growth around.

The Great Blue Herons have been gone for a while. Started seeing some a few weeks back. This one is sitting pretty close to where a GBH nest was last season. Wonder if it's the baby.
