Feb 5th. Got to the river and did a 2 shot panorama, then used the analog Nik filter to make this look like a collodion picture.
Last weekend I got to see an photo exhibit of a Sherbrooke photographer who has built himself a 11x14 camera to expose wet plates that he makes just before exposure. He's got a darkroom in his van and does everything himself. Interesting results that looked a little bit like this.

Well, seems the ground hog saw it's shadow so I'd guess not before another 5 or 6 weeks. But the days are getting longer and the light better. The snow is not so bad actually once it's gone from the driveway...
But the cold is not too good for my cameras.

So when's your 800 coming back? I want to rub it in and tell you that you'd have it back if you had it repaired in Japan instead of US.

There is a Steinway shop a few miles away from me. I went in there once with my friend just to look around. I was messing around on one of them, and glanced over at the price. 78,000$ used. Slowly backed away from that one, haha. I can't afford any of them, but it's a cool store to go around and wish. haha.

But that particular piano is very far from a Steinway. Doesn't sound like one, doesn't play like one.

I like the shot. Someone worked very hard to paint that building. Hard to tell what is real and what is paint.
