Day 47, feb 16th 2012

Finally took the camera out today as I had some time between 2 tunings for a show.

First thing I saw in the parking lot was the "Mira" van. This is an organisation who trains dogs for the handicapped. The trainor has 8 dogs that he takes in the city every day. This training goes on for 6 months.
But the dog in the trailer looked so so sad not to be able to come out to meet me...

Then there were ducks by the river. They were all out and I tried to run to them with the camera on continuous high speed. It got me an interesting image:

And this reflection of a post and tree that I flipped upside down. It's kind of funny what it makes our mind to when a reflection is on the wrong side like this.

Day 48, feb 17th 2012

Quick shot of flowers I had bought for Valentine's gift. Since the color wass a little harsh, I tried a b&w version. Used a bit of diffused glow from CS5.

Day 49, Feb 18th 2012

Driving back home from work, I caught a glimpse of these guys in the field. I stopped and it took a little while for them to approach. D90, 18-200VR, iso 400.

I love the last alpaca one with the fence framing. I love the reflection of the surroundings in his/her eyes, yet he/she is very focused on you. So simple and beautiful.

Although the exif shows this has been taken today, I had to try copying an old 35mm transparency just using my sigma macro 105. The original was taken around 1970s. I just held the slide in front of the window and shot hand held. I'll have another real pic taken today later.

I'm not to crazy about the furniture but that first piano looks super cool in that room...bet you had plenty of light to see what you were doing...imagine the portraits you could make there.

I know for the portrait. But… the customer wasn't there. Just an employe that opened up the door for me. So I was basically left alone with the piano for over 2 hrs. Maybe someday the owner will be there when I come. This place was a 1:45 hr drive from home. In the middle of nowhere, private club with only 19 houses that have access to over 180,000 acres of wood to play around in.

That's not a house Mike, it is a portal to another reality camouflaged as a little yellow house, for a project run by the government to hide iilegal aliens from planet Mars, and guarded by the Men in Black...

One thing I forgot to mention for that room is that the paneling is bird's eye maple. It's just gorgeous.
