The grand opening. This is a giant variety of the sunflower. Last picture was done last night and just now, what a difference.

Morning walk, barefoot in the garden after a rainy night. Some things can't be bought. And I get nice images too... What more can a person ask for?

Sounds good, but I wouldn't dare walk barefoot in my back yard. There are too many prickly, sticking, poking things out there in the desert. Ha!

Grabbed a camera to go and photograph some flowers after the roofers had left... Ah, 2 days of constant hammering over my head. It was about time it stopped. :)
So thinking I was grabbing my D810 with the Sigma 150, I soon realized when I tried to preview the DOF that my fingers wouldn't fit in comfortably. It just felt strange untl I realized I had the D7200. Pictures are great, but the handling was a bit unfamiliar, enough to cause a discomfort while shooting. So I guess I'm spoiled now.

I started a trial with Capture One since it does really better sharpening for my Fuji raw files, but I find that I get different and maybe better results with Nikon's Nefs as well. But to get used to a different workflow and tools is something else I'm not enjoying that much. A few shots from this morning at the garden. I don't know if we can appreciate the difference here, but for me, the color handling is much better with C-1

My morning captures. I'm just about to give up on flowers from my garden as I feel I've run circles around them and no longer can find inspiration. But it's the light that keeps changing that makes me go back, morning after morning. And I'm always quite moved by their beauty.

I hope I'm not boring you with these.

I for one am enjoying your flower images, Marcel. :) Winter is coming, and all the beautiful flowers will be gone. So we might as well enjoy them while we can.

No bored at all. In fact I find it inspirational that you're able to compose so many diverse images from a single subject category.

But I certainly understand how you feel. If YOU are finding it harder to find inspiration, perhaps it would be beneficial to take a break for a while. Coming back rested and refreshed might rekindle that old flame :)

A day without taking a single image is not even possible for me. I don't mind not being inspired, and if I take the time to get the camera out, the inspiration comes back after 2 or 3 clicks. The light gives me so many occasion to learn how to use it that I hope I'll be able to keep on as long as I can.

Light would not exist if it wouldn't have it's shadow
