Got a 1.4 II Nikon tele-extender. First trial with the 200-500. Considering the low light low contrast situation, I'm quite pleased with it so far.
Well it focused fine but I might have pre-focused on the sidewalk in front of the squirrel. But, most of the time, I rest my thumb on the focusing ring and I do adjust when in a hurry and the focus seems to be hunting a bit. But with this lens and tele-extender it seems I can rely on the autofocus quite often.Nice images, Marcel. Was the squirrel shot difficult? The squirrel blends in so well with the color of the curb that it makes me wonder how you were able to focus.
