It seems I'm having fun doing macros these days. Nice thing about it is that I don't even have to use the car... :)

My shots of the day. I think I did succeed to get a decent shot of a bee in flight. It took quite a bit of patience.

I really feel stupid, starting to shoot for the weekly challenge that specifically starts TOMORROW... I did work in straight B&W and not in color and then work with PS. A bit more difficult to achieve the contrast and color depth. But here my today's shots.

There are flowers printed on the T-shirt... Maybe this will inspire others that thought this combination would be too difficult. :)

Took the Df out last night to try to do some star shots. Unfortunately, the moon stole the show. But I was able to do a few shots before we even got to the star gazing site.

I took my small and light Fuji X10 on a cycling ride and got some interesting shots. I thought I'd share them with you.

Dragonfly that seemed hurt and let itself to a photo session. X-E2 with Sigma 105 macro and Nikon-Fuji adapter. I find it so nice not to have mirror movement when doing macros. I think I'm getting sharpness that I never was able to achieve before this setup.

Ah, I'm back home and with my Df... relief it is.

Yard pictures of the day since my Philadelphus shrub is full bloom I couldn't let it go by without a picture.

And the cat was just having a bit of fun under the hammock.

Using the dream machine lens this morning (55 1.2 + close-up filter) got me these softer than soft pics with the Df. From jpegs out of camera cropped and resized for web.

Reminds me how blessed I am to own a mint Nikon D700! Perhaps with practice I can approach the talent of our @Marcel - look at this bokeh and focus!!

Nice! In good hands the D700 slays any subject still!

After the rain in the backyard. It seems this might be the last weekend for the philadelphus. It's really not easy to get sharp shot when the wind blows on flowers. I got a lot of rejects. All processed with Apple viewer from SOOC jpegs.

Perfect day for cycling that took us to this lake where we had our apple and then rode back home. 30K total riding distance.

I went with some of Line's visiting friends on a walk in Sherbrooke and got a few shots with my Df and 55 1.2 manual focus lens.

I usually do flowers in the morning, but tonight I saw the light going down on the daisies and I just couldn't resist getting the Df out again with the Sigma 150. I guess I never had the chance to mention that I just love the bokeh this lens gets... Mixture of cold and warm light made this even more inspiring. I have an "oil paint" filtered one and I'm posting the original version as well. Let me know which one you prefer.
