I really appreciate that. As much as I worry about gear, I take far greater effort in getting candids and real expressions out of people

I am much less worried about switching cameras right now and am focusing on getting more clients (my website needs a lot of work for example). As for switches from Canon to Nikon, it was an upgrade to a full frame and I happened to choose the D600 over the 6D at the time. I happen to believe it was Nikon's control layout that made me so comfortable and quick with using full manual mode. I am very hesitant to switch to Canon for the controls alone. I know I'll eventually move away from the D600 because I would like a better autofocus system.
A couple of my favorite photographers, Jeff Newsom (canon) and Sam Hurd (nikon), both have a couple recent galleries in which the asian couples' skin is quite orange. While I feel that the couple would have possibly liked a less orangy skin, I know they are still amazing photos because of the expressions, composition, and feel.
I am considering getting the Xrite ColorChecker which I think will greatly help me get consistent results in different lighting condiitons--which has been what takes me the most amount of time to correct. I have a feeling this could easily save me several hundred hours of processing in my lifetime
It's funny Jeff Newsom makes his photos look as if they were shot with Nikon almost....

If you haven't heard of these two photographers--their work is truly spectacular and I am striving for my work to look as good someday
