We had to catch and hold him to confirm whether or not a Massasauga Rattlesnake at a work site. It was just a Fox Snake and we moved him somewhere safe. This was taken with a D7100 and Nikon 28-85mm macro. fox snake.jpgsnake 3.jpg

Are you Sure that's a copperhead? It doesnt look like ours.
Actually, nope I wasn't. Thought it was when I posted. Made the assumption it was the baby of the two adult copperheads the fisherman caught while I was there shooting. Went back later and found it to be a baby Midland Watersnake. Should have came back in to correct it! Good eye!

Ah good , I was wondering what it was , spent quite a while trying to figure it out, its the kind of thing you don't want to get wrong much. :) but I just dont know y'alls snakes well.( they dont really come down past the panhandle)

Heard a splash behind the bulrush. Figured it was a gator and waited. Guess it was a bad hunting day.
