Thanks Michael. I have a couple of books and online sites to look through. I'm not always correct though, but come close lots of times.

Southern Ringneck that I spotted sunning itself on the root of a rotted out tree.

I did not know this until I researched it but this snake is actually a venomous snake. It is a rear fang snake like the Coral snake and they are too small to really penetrate human skin. Its venom is also not affective to humans and is at very small doses anyway.
